Tours of the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site

April 8, 2018 ; 10:00 am to 3:30 pm

Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site - 1230 North Delaware Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202

Take a tour of this beautiful 10,000 sq.ft. Italianate Victorian family home of President Benjamin Harrison - our country's 23rd US President (1889-1893) and Indiana's only President. Built in 1875, the home is beautifully furnished with many of Harrison's paintings, furniture, and other artifacts including political memorabilia. This museum home features two Special Exhibit spaces. Entrance to special exhibits is included in the price of daily tours.

 

Kid's Cooking Class

Join us for a fun Kid's Cooking Class and our chef will guide your little one on creating a culinary masterpiece. After the class enjoy a Maggiano's brunch buffet, then end your experience with an optional Lasagna Bundle to go! The Lasagna Bundle feeds 4 people and includes: Ciabatta rolls, (2) Entree Salads, (4) pieces of Mom's Meat Lasagna and (2) Signature Desserts. Our chef will instruct your little one on making: Stuffed Shells!

 

Sun King Brewing After School Special 

April 25, 2018 ; 6:00 pm to 9:25 pm

Sun King Brewing - 135 North College Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46202

This seated, five-course pairing will focus on the art of selected beers to accompany cured meats. Participants will learn the process of finding flavors in beer that are complimentary to dishes that highlight artisan bacon, sausages, smoked meats, salami, and more. As the paired courses are served, attendees will gain an understanding of how to taste, pour, and exhibit beer, allowing for better integration and presentation of beer with food. Participants will also learn the "why and hows" behind combinations of different beers with different foods and ingredients as building blocks for creating their own pairings at home.
